White House Accepting Comments to Improve Food Safety
The President’s Food Safety Working Group is accepting comments and ideas about improving food safety from interested stakeholders at its website. APHA Executive Director, Georges Benjamin participated in the White House Listening Session on Food Safety in May, along with other stakeholders, congressional staff and administration officials. Information about the Work Group’s activities, including the President’s Address on food safety and remarks from the Secretaries of USDA and HHS during the White House Listening Session, are available on the site.
