- Register Now: The first Master’s Regional Meeting in Baltimore, MD

Posted by admin

Dear Nursing Colleagues:

I am writing to you on behalf of the Task Force on the Revision of The Essentials of Master’s Education for Advanced Generalist Nursing Practice to urge you to attend the first Master’s Regional Meeting in Baltimore, MD on October 8-9, 2009. As you may or may not know, these standards were last revised in 1996. Since then, so many changes have affected the complexity of health care. Accordingly, the task force has taken some very new positions on the changes that must occur in master’s nursing programs. Attend the meeting and be part of the consensus-building process that will shape the future of master’s nursing education! Your input will be invaluable. Stakeholders will be provided the opportunity to review and provide feedback regarding the draft Master’s Essentials document. AACN members, faculty, students, practicing nurses, and representatives of other healthcare and education organizations are invited to attend. Please forward this invitation to any interested individuals and organizations!
